Land Executive

Job description

Prospect Homes have an exciting opportunity for a Land Executive to work with the Land Team to identify and procure new land/development opportunities from initial sourcing, collating sales and technical information, assisting with site valuation and assisting with the legal process through to completion.

As Land Executive, you will be responsible for land identification by way of review of Local Plan policies and monitoring planning applications. You will build and maintain a strong rapport with land agents, promoters and owners as well as assisting other departments including technical, commercial and sales as and when required.

With a desire to learn and a develop a rewarding career, the successful candidate will have an understanding of the planning system, the ability to communicate with a wide range of people and be proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. You will be results focused with the ability to take ownership of tasks and an excellent team player who can work flexibly to meet business requirements. A driving license is required as is the need to attend occasional out-of-hours meetings/events.

Engineering Assistant

Job description

Prospect Homes are looking to recruit an Engineering Assistant to provide technical and engineering support to the Technical Manager and company as a whole in order to achieve the Business Plan and associated targets.

Reporting into the Technical Manager, you will ensure adequate information is obtained to assess and then produce an ‘Externals Works Plan’ (EWP), detailing all engineering works required below ‘Final Finished Floor Level’s’, relating to all ‘Main and Local Site Works’, including house drainage design, in a cost-effective, practical and safe manner. The Engineering Assistant will ensure the ‘EWP’ is discussed, agreed and issued to the ‘Commercial’ and ‘Construction’ departments in order that the works are properly costed and implemented safely, and will ensure that the implementation on site of each site’s ‘EWP’ is monitored, and amended as necessary and to ensure appropriate records are maintained.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of providing good technical engineering advice and support, as well as experience of collating and assessing information to generate an EWP. You will have experience of the procurement, assessment and implementation of other appropriate designs relating to any and all aspects of the ‘Main and Local Site Work’s’, including road and sewer designs, pump stations, mains services, foundations, house drainage designs and public open spaces etc.

Site Manager

Prospect Homes have an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager for a residential development in Clitheroe. The Site Manager will concentrate primarily on open market sales and will manage subcontractors/trade to ensure that the company objectives of a high-quality product delivered in line with the programme is achieved.

As Site Manager you will have specific responsibility for the finishing of the product to a high standard and will assist all other parties in the inspection processes. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will ensure that the company’s policy on Health & Safety is totally encompassed within the working practices as well as ensuring that the build programme target dates and number of plot completions are achieved or bettered.

The successful candidate will have experience with open market residential companies and will be able to demonstrate a track record in open market customer care. You will have a thorough knowledge of the latest NHBC published standards and be able to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.

Architectural Technician

Job description

Reporting to the Technical Manager, your main responsibilities will include coordination of Architects and interrogation of architectural layouts and designs; support of the pre-contract application process, submission of building regulations/ NHBC applications and securing all necessary consents to enable projects to commence. The Technical Technician will also be reasonable for interdepartmental liaison and support with regard to providing technical information and resolving technical issues. The work will be mainly for volume residential developments; therefore experience within this type of design is critical.

The successful candidate will have excellent IT skills and have a detailed knowledge of the SAP, Building Regulations, CfSH, SBD, Lifetime Homes and HQI Standards, with the ability to use AutoCAD.

 

Accountabilities

• Supervision and Management of Architects including sub-contractors and coordinating the information flow between relevant parties.

• Liaison with all relevant external bodies, Consultants and Architects to ensure satisfactory production information and document flow to maximise buildability and value engineering processes.

• To evolve and manage full Prospect (GB) House type range including variations

• Provide possible sketch layout schemes for feasibility purposes when required

 

Essential Professional Competencies

• An excellent knowledge of construction and architectural techniques in the residential sector.

• A successful track record of technical coordination with respect to Architectural.

• Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD.

• A background in housing construction, architectural or design preferably within the housing sector or practise.

• A clear understanding of Health and Safety Legislation with CDM. • HND or Equivalent Preferred.

Provide a comprehensive reception and office administration service by undertaking clerical and coordination activities to support service delivery. 

Accountabilities 

• Welcoming Visitors.

• Monitoring and processing emails.

Additional Information
