Christmas can be the hardest time of the year for some and Prospect Homes wanted to do their bit to make a real difference to people experiencing homelessness in Liverpool.
Prospect Homes is part of The Riverside Group who build homes across the UK for a wide variety of communities providing social housing and affordable homes to people of all ages and circumstances.
Profits from the sale of all new Prospect Homes are reinvested back in to Riverside to help support schemes like Green Lane.
Green Lane is a supported housing service that provides high quality temporary accommodation for single, homeless men in Liverpool. Due to a huge part of Prospect Homes’ mission being to give back, staff including members of the senior management team, spent a day with employees and residents at Green Lane to help them get into the festive spirit.
Samantha Williams, Head of Sales at Prospect Homes, and part of the team of volunteers said: “As Prospect Homes is part of The Riverside Group, everything we do is about investing in communities across the UK. Schemes such as Green Lane are crucial in assisting those who want to rebuild their lives and receive help to do this.
Other volunteers from Prospect Homes included Customer Care Co-ordinator Kirsty Merrie, Sales Executives Stephanie Tam and Jasmine Carr, Head of Construction Martin Caldwell and Land Executive Richard Dimisianos.
The team decorated the accommodation ready for Christmas, which included putting up the Christmas tree and all the decorations as well as baking Christmas cakes for residents. They tidied the library area and garden and donated shoes and clothes which will all help towards a new start for the residents.
